Fully Using The Internet To Enjoy Inexpensive Videos

Thursday, July 2nd, 2009

I find it remarkable that so few web citizens know the great amount of video viewing options currently available on the Web. With a couple clicks of your mouse she can go from enjoying that nostalgic childhood television show through web video to watching dozens of tv networks from half way around our vast earth. Desire to see what they might be watching right this moment in Spain or Italy? You can do it now!

With a couple clicks more of a mouse you can watch free movies online in the form of the latest blockbusters to curious indie flicks a person won’t discover in most DVD retailers. And I am not talking about low-quality YouTube shows.

From sometimes sketchy websites streaming gobs of high quality videos to perfectly legitimate and easy-to-use services from major power houses like Amazon and Netflix, it is currently incredibly quick and easy to watch movies on the internet. Everything you require is an always-on broadband internet connection and a relatively recent web browser. I recommend using either Firefox 3 or 2 and Internet Explorer 7 or 6. While I prefer Firefox, some services such as Netflix still need Internet Explorer to enjoy their internet videos.

It is also possible to download free online movies, but be careful where you go to find these movies. There is a phenomenon called BitTorrent which renders it surprisingly easy to download thousands of high quality movies… but in many cases it is illegal.

It is so simple that lots of individuals innocently fall into this sort of piracy, so be very cautious with such tools and internet sites. Note that this technology involves an automated sharing technology where what you start to download is automatically uploaded and shared with others even before you have finished downloading, so you might think you are not distributing copyrighted material but you are, so please be careful! Do not steal!

I suggest services like Amazon Unbox and CinemaNow. These are established and legitimate services which allow you to download and enjoy huge numbers of top quality films for a small negligible monthly cost.

I hope this helps to open your eyes to the many cheap and fun methods to utilize the Web to find and enjoy a broad assortment of media entertainment. So go enjoy!
