Fun, Fashionable Styles: Rhinestone Reading Glasses

Monday, November 30th, 2009

For years, wearing specs was thought to be a detriment to someone’s appearance. In today’s society, however, millions of people wear accessories such as rhinestone reading glasses to not only see better, but also to make a bold fashion statement.

glasses have been in existence for hundreds of years, with the 1st evidence of them being crafted going back to the year 1000. Naturally, they weren’t worn at that point; rather, scholars used globules of glass as a magnification device to read. Wearable glasses weren’t designed until the late 1200’s, and have been under a continual trail of improvement since then. At the beginning, they were merely useful for magnifying objects and print ; over time, nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism and more were hugely improved thru the employment of glasses.

Glasses have now become a fun trend and trendy accessory. Many folks own and wear glasses even when they have prescription contacts to boost their vision inadequacies. They can be found in virtually any color desired, as well as in many different sizes and shapes. They can have many gildings; designs, gems, or pretend gems such as rhinestones. Reading glasses in particular exhibit the greatest flair in creativity, and now with the glasses conveniently available without prescription in pharmacies and shops, many people own several pair that describes their personalities.

Choosing the proper type of glasses to fit your face and personality may take having a second opinion . The way that we see ourselves in the mirror can greatly differ from the way others see us. There are some suggestions to choosing the best glasses for your face, including :

  • The glasses should complement your best feature ( i.e, matching the color of the frames to the colour of your irises )
  • The shape of the frames should not match the form of your face; rather, contrasting with the shape presents a more attractive look.
  • Choose frame sizes that complement your face; even though you may like giant lenses, it may overwhelm a little face.

Another thing to be considered for selecting glasses is where you’ll most frequently be wearing them. Fun, leopard print glasses may not present the image you wish in a busy workplace, just the same as wearing reading glasses that perch upon the end of your nose aren’t meant for a swinging club.

wearing eyeglasses doesn’t need to be simply functional anymore. Owning a pair for work, a pair for driving and a number of fun pairs, such as rhinestone reading glasses, can ensure that you are supplied for each situation.

A close look at how diamonds are priced – let’s talk about clarity!

Thursday, January 1st, 2009

Today I’m going to have a look at one of the “4 C’s” of how diamonds are graded.  In case you don’t know, diamonds are graded in 4 main categories – cut, color, carat and clarity.  Let’s take a close look at the last one – clarity.

The clarity grading scale goes from IF (the best) down to I3 (the worst).  In total, there are 10 grades that a diamond can fall into.

Clarity looks at how many “inclusions” that are found in the diamond.  Basically, inclusions are small blemishes or imperfections.  They occur naturally when the rock is forming in the earth and they can be found in almost all diamonds.

When grading the diamond, a gemologist inspects the diamond under intense magnification to look at the inclusions that are present.  The grading is then submitted based on how many inclusions, and also how apparent or large they are.

As an example, a diamond that is given an IF grading has no inclusions at all.  This is incredibly rare, and as you can imagine, this type of diamond will have a huge price premium attached to it.

A stone with a grading of VS2 will have “very slight” inclusions – these will only be noticeable when viewed under a microscope and aren’t noticeable with just the naked eye.  These diamonds sell for a lot less that an IF graded diamond.

It’s important to familiarize yourself with the different ways diamonds are graded.  Grab a diamond ring buying guide - this will make a huge difference in the end as you can save a lot of money on your purchase.  It can be the difference between finding an affordable engagement ring instead of overpaying and putting a huge smile on your jewelers face.
