Debt Management Advice

Tuesday, May 5th, 2009

In some cases, they key to getting out of debt effectively is simply managing it properly.

The first and most important rule of debt management is that you should never ignore the problem. Your lenders will soon notice if you have been missing payments, and the consequences can often be serious.

Instead, at the first sign of problems with repaying your debts, you should contact your lenders to explain your situation and discuss your options. Lenders will appreciate the fact that you have shown you are prepared to address the problem, and it may be possible to negotiate reduced payments towards your debts or a temporary payment holiday so that you can get your finances back on track.

If you can’t come to a satisfactory agreement with your lenders on your own, then it might be a good idea to speak to a debt adviser about a professional Debt Management Plan.

What is a Debt Management Plan?
In short, a debt management plan is any informal agreement between you and your creditors with regards to how you intend to repay your debts.

Of course, this means that if your lenders had accepted your offer of reduced monthly payments, you would have entered into a debt management plan of sorts — but if those negotiations fail, or if you find negotiating with creditors alone a little daunting, you could benefit from the experience of a professional debt management company, who will have dealt with many more people in your situation.

When negotiating with your creditors, a debt management company will be able to communicate the reasons why a debt management plan would benefit them as well as you. There will often be an existing professional relationship between the debt management company and your creditors — the chances are that they will have dealt with each other on similar cases in the past — and this could improve your overall chances of getting favourable terms on your debt management plan.

Should I consider any other debt solutions?
Yes, and that’s another advantage of dealing with a professional debt management company — they should assess your situation to help establish whether another debt solution, such as a debt consolidation loan or an IVA (Individual Voluntary Arrangement) might be more suitable for your circumstances.

For example, if repaying your full debts within a reasonable time period seems unrealistic, then a debt management plan may not be the most appropriate solution. If you’re unsure, speak to a debt adviser and let them help you establish the best debt solution for your needs.

Taking A proactive look at discovering a job in Bournemouth in the present economic atmosphere.

Wednesday, February 4th, 2009

I decided I would take a different angle and look at ways to find work in Bournemouth and think about what might be the best employment direction to take in Bournemouth for you.

A lot of the down turn appears to be in areas that produce or provide what could be regarded as non essential items. The supermarkets have viewed a rise in sales mainly because they are providing for the essential needs of the public. Restaurants whether Liverpool restaurants or Bournemouth restaurants are experiencing the pinch as individuals hold back on percieved luxury items, Pizza houses and takeaways alternatively are seeing a rise in items bought.

So back to my starting point, that essential providers seem to be the safest area to be working in. For this article I am going to break down work into 3 areas – Office work in Bournemouth, Maintenance work in Bournemouth and Retail work in Bournemouth.

Office work in Bournemouth be it on the payrole for an insurance business in Bournemouth, pension company in Bournemouth or other essential secretarial jobs in Bournemouth are essential parts of daily life. If you need a secure area to work in look to companies that are maintaining essential work that will be necessary no matter what the economic climate.

Maintenance work in Bournemouth whether fixing services around individuals house’s, highway repair, or maintenance work for large businesses in Bournemouth its of value considering getting positions that supply you with secure necessary employment in Bournemouth within work that is essential to everyday living.

Retail work in Bournemouth can be a secure place to work if you are working in places that are necessary to the public e.g. competitive supermarkets or shops providing essential products or services.

I love kitchen islands, why don’t I have one?

Monday, January 26th, 2009

As far as kitchen development is concerned I think the kitchen island is just as important as sliced bread. This brilliant concept has been around for a while, but its really taking on a new spin with all the things you can put into your island today. It used to be you only had a little storage and a counter top, now you can run the entire kitchen from just the island area.

It’s pretty easy to have a discussion about kitchen islands furniture. Many islands are setup for extra eating spaces, with fancy bar stools for seating, a buffet area of sorts where a variety of yummy dishes can be placed. But today’s islands also offer the chef a wide range of options depending on their own cooking habits. My mother has her cooktop range on the island, along with a microwave, a a built in curio cabinet for displaying her favorite collectibles. Other islands I’ve seen have the dishwasher built in, and even appliances like ice makers, trash compactors and small refrigerators. Yes, if you wanted your oven there you could. There’s really no limit to the way you can design your island to meet your needs.

I take that back. The biggest limitation is the size of your kitchen. Some are so small there’s no way a permanent fixture would work, you wouldn’t be able to get around it. To that end you would want to consider a kitchen island cart. Something that’s flexible, movable, something that can be stored out of the way when not in use.

Unfortunately my kitchen is too small to have an island of any great use, but my next home I intend to make sure the kitchen is big enough for one. I think they’re fantastic.

Tough Times Call For Positivity

Thursday, January 8th, 2009

Bulls and Bears seem to run the Stock Market! Some people when the going gets tough, seeing opportunity can be hard, but not for those entrepreneurial folk who always seem to move with the times and either grow or diversify.

The web marketing consultant behind the fast growing Rentin Rentals Group who recently launched the Nerja and Marbella Apartments vacation rentals websites has accepted the devlopment roles for two very different types of business startups going into 2009.

The first is a concept devised by Glaswegian James Johnston MBE who, after many years of service to education and teaching, believes that too many folk – especially in the United Kindom – struggle to maintain a positive attitude in their work; relationships and general behaviour. Mr Johnston also identifies that through his extremely wide network of contacts and experiences of his professional life, the most successful people out of the hundreds of people he knows all seem to have a positive approach to life and problems.

“Clearly everybody has difficulties in life of one sort or another – that is part of life and character building of one form or another. Yet it’s the way in which positively charged characters deal with their difficulties and then come out the other side which seems to be one of the deciding factors to how they deal with LIFE and the impact the experiences have those individuals !”

Through his own personal experiences of life, Mr Johnston recognises the positive impact such folk have on other folk who come into contact with such positivity wired characters and believes experiences shared, ideas discussed, and approaches considered with such positive attitude type characters can help reclaim a lot of personal feel good factors within ourselves and help gain ground against negative influences all around the average member of population.

With this in mind, James has embarked on a rebellion of sorts to the standard message portrayed by newspapers and television channels who he remarks “chase viewer figures by constantly publishing bad news! and in turn slowly shape the views of the population towards an overly exagerated negative slant, which harms us personally on many levels and damages our performance as a nation in the world !” Not surprisingly, the new business of James’ is called http://PositiveAttitude.ME and is sure to draw a lot of folk wishing to become more positive minded in how they approach life and their goals.

The other development role is for a unique design of beds which brings a whole new option to tradional bed purchases. The designer is keeping tight lipped on all the detals at this time only until the web site is fully launched and product becomes available. The designer has chosen the name Elemental Beds to represent her new business and as time passes the theme behind the business name will become apparent.

Where to stay in Mudgee Australia

Friday, January 2nd, 2009

So, my latest news is that I’ve got a friend who has just come back from a short stay in a town called Mudgee in Australia and he recommends a Guesthouse there. I wish my family could get there someday ‘cos it sounds wonderful.

Mudgee is a small town in New South Wales and as it happens there are a surprising number of places to stay nearby. He recommends this Mudgee Guesthouse if you want a jolly, not to say, incredibly hospitable welcome as well as high class comfortable accommodation at a sensible price. Accommodation in Mudgee is usually of a respectable standard as it happens.

Why do people go to Mudgee in the first place was a question that I asked him (I mean have you heard of it?) and it turns out that it’s quite a decent sized town in fact and was first settled in about 1820 by some people from the UK. What my friend was looking for was a place to stay that was near the town yet peaceful. There are quite a few Mudgee Getaways in fact (”Getaways” is a local term for places to stay) and they are very popular.

Other local towns include Kandos, Gulgong, Rylstone, Hargraves, Hill End. Lue, Windeyer and Wollar and they offer different sorts of accommodation.

One thing to bear in mind that applies to things Australian is that the word “local” seems to have a different meaning down under.  So your neighbour may in fact be several kilometres away and I have a hunch that driving from Mudgee to Kandos could take a while too. According to Google Maps the journey is around 70km.

So if you need Mudgee accommodation you want to make sure you have found somewhere good to stay or you could find yourself travelling another hour or two!
